E&S Pennies for Patients 2017
Carver E&S Community raised $1404.58 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Pennies for Patients Campaign". Ms. Logan and Ms. Jordan report that Mr. Lick's Advisory 701 donated the most "pennies" with Advisory 304 a close second. Thanks to all of the student volunteers and staff who made our campaign a success. Full Report
E&S Chess at State Championships
Carver Middle and High School earned a total
12 trophies at the 2017 State Championships in
Lancaster Pennsylvania. Highlighted by the
Middle School earning 3rd place in the Open.
And newcomer, Josiah Findley won 1st place in the
Under 1300 and 4th place in the Quick Chess tournament.
Awesome Day for E&S Quizbowl
At the Citywide Championships, Carver A went undefeated all day until a tough best-of-three final against Friends Select A. Though they lost in the final, they played like champs. Congrats to FSS A on 1st, Carver A on 2nd, and FSS B on 3rd. Carver A's top player was senior Will Zhang. Carver B and Carver C results and photo HERE.

SeaPerch & SeaGlide Robotics Competition
Carver E&S competed at Temple University and achieved a 1st Place and number of other awards and recognition.

ACE Students Compete in Pennoni Competition
The school teams were challenged to create and assemble an environmentally friendly people mover. The vehicle was required to travel at least four feet across the table and overcome at least one obstacle such as a hill, curve, landform, etc. The team then presented how their creation was environmentally friendly, how people could fit in it, and demonstrate overcoming the chosen obstacle to the judges. E&S All-Public Volleyball
Three players represented E&S at the city all-public
match at Lincoln HS on April 26th. Malik Rush led
the honorable mention team to its first ever win
against the league coaches. Jaleel Hunter and Khari Crommarty battled for the blue team in an exciting 2-1 loss versus a hard-hitting gold team.
Malik Rush was selected as honorable mention, Khari Crommarty as 2nd team all-public, and Jaleel Hunter as 1st team all-public.
At the mid-point in the season, the team is currently in 2nd place in the AA standings with a 4-5 overall record. With 5 games remaining, the team is looking to make a strong push leading up to the playoffs which begin on May 11th at E&S.
